I desperately need a project. I am approaching the end of my work day and have nothing to look forward to at home except a rousing round of "Rock Band... the quest to master HARD!" My exquisite, screeching vocals are no match for you, Kristy Lee Cook.
Is it wrong that I created a Rock Band playlist so I could learn the vocals on obscure classic rock tracks like Green Grass and High Tides? Probably just as wrong as my shockingly unrebuffed download of The Last Train to Clarksville. I heart Mickey Dolans.
I should probably do something vaguely productive on my way home, like buy fresh fruits and vegetables for my family. Jalepeno potato chips dipped in tuna salad can only take a girl so far. Plus, I hear nutrients are all the rage with the Xbox 360-set.
I'm very grateful that tonight is Rock Band night, because yesterday was Scrabble day. Actually, it was Super Scrabble day. Super Scrabble is the WORST purchase we've ever made. There are 100 more squares and double the tiles, so you play until you want to throw the board through an open window. All those extra tiles bastardize the fun of the original. And by "fun," I mean the smug satisfaction you get by plopping down "zygote" for 40 points.
We also bought a ton of other board games that we haven't opened yet like Cranium and Taboo. I dorkily want to plan a game night so I can mop the floor clean with my pals. But the only way to make said game night rad and appealing is to dedicate several hours to a photoshopped invitation full of puns and an amazing signature cocktail recipe.
Hmmm. I think I smell a project!

hmmm, I think I'm smelling a plan. When you come to LA we can have dinner at deb and damien's (so that you can meet the A-man) and crack out some of their board games?
I checked my facebook page and the news feed said you have a blog...And after reading it think you just wrote the first chapter to a book. You could call it Scrabbled. And I think buying fruit is fun.
